whenever a large change happens on the board, or even minor tweaks, we'll post about it here. this is also where the activity checks and all polls will take place. if anything new is posted here, we'll post an update in the sidebar, as well as put a notice at the top of the forum.

once you've read all the rules and know how this place works, come on over here to post up your application! please remember you aren't allowed to post anywhere until it has been accepted.

when your application is accepted, a staff member will move it here and place it in the a correct sub-board, according to it's nature. if any new applications, or applications not accepted by a staff member, are posted here they will be deleted.

the large plot of land in the heart of the city that is known affectionately as "Central" by almost everybody. it is plagued by hot dog venders, surrounded by businesses and merchants, and is almost like the park, though the difference is that this place is right in front of the city hall. it resembles a park for the most part, with trees and benches and flowers, however the constant flow of people from city hall tend to break this illusion. there are small plots for public gardens as well, and the library is not to far off.

winthrop is the home of slate city's school, as well as their park and a few smaller stores. it's more suburban, with trees and grass growing, and has a generally more friendly atmosphere than the rest of the city. the high school and middle school are right next to each other, seperated only by a parking lot, which is used by the middle school teachers and high school students alike. the elementary school is a few hundred feet down the road.

on the outskirts of slate city, there is a harbor and seashore. the harbor itself is home to many boats, from fishing to those of luxury. the sea holds many wonders, and young people flock there in order to have some fun in the sun. it is said to be dangerous around the docking area, or in the more deserted places, so people tend to stay away from there.

a sandy strip of beach lines one portion of grey port. strangely enough, it's exceedingly clean and safe to swim in. many people can be found here on sunny days, soaking up with sun and swimming in the ocean. many foodstands have been set up along this strip, as well as a couple of inns and arcades.

a pleasent little street, covered with tourist attractions and dainty little shops. it's highlight is the large stadium at the end of the road, where concerts and all sorts of events are held. right next to it there is a smaller ring, which was once used for lesser known bands who wanted to hold concerts here. however, it has now been converted into a large ice skating that is avaliable during all seasons.

quartersouth hill gets it's name from being a quarter of a mile out of the town, and directly to the south. it's too large to really be called a hill, but just small enough so that it wouldn't be right to call it a mountain. there is also a lake here, with picnic areas. it tends to be a popular place for hiking.

a large horse stable, that also has many other farm animals. they sell fresh eggs and milk, as well as fresh meat, all of it completely organic. they do offer lessons at their stables, which are spacious and clean. the riding areas and horse barn are seperated from the poultry and cattle areas, the whole farm itself about six miles out of slate city.

A more suburban area that has many houses and, as you work your way inwards towards slate city, apartment buildings start to pop up as well. it seems that those who live on the outskirts of the city tend to be wealthy, while those who live on directly inside of the city tend to be less so, though there are a few exceptions to this general rule.

have something your looking for? post up a wanted ad here. you may post up wanted ads for everything your character may need, such as family members you want others to play, or simply somebody to roleplay with. if you have a plot idea and want to see if anybody wants to join in, you may post a wanted ad here for that as well.

have a mini plot of some sort going on? feel free to share it with the entire board. please know that any plots that interfere with the entire board must be OKed beforehand by an admin, otherwise you will be asked to remove the plot. do not include characters in your plots if the owner of the character has not given you permission to do so.

these wonderful, colourful little tools can come in handy for keeping your character's relationships under control. please, though, make sure your relationship plot is readable: if the colours completely clash with the board, or are just illegable, you will be asked to take it down.

inside, you can request a house for your character, claim your PB so only you may use them, among many other things. please, do NOT post in here unless your character has been accepted, and know that all of these are first come, first serve!

talk about anything you want here, as long as it doesn't break any rules. you may also introduce yourself to the forum, or post up an away message. graphics may be ordered in this board as well.
